Limited Financial Assistance
The working poor,
underemployed, and unemployed need temporary financial assistance for
rent, utilities and emergency needs to maintain their fragile standard
of living. Crisis and unplanned financial emergencies can jeopardize
the familie's ability to provide basic needs such as food, clothing
and shelter. In 2007, our requests were much greater than
our resources however, BAN was able to grant temporary loans to 1,956
clients. All loans are to be repaid when possible.
(Eviction and disconnect notices are required)
Our clients
find themselves in temporary need of food, clothing and access to
other services to maintain a minimal standard of living. Monthly
allotments are provided to eligible clients on a case-by-case basis. Special
needs are met during the holidays with food baskets and gifts. We were
able to fulfill 10,585 requests in 2007.
BAN Medical Clinic
The Broken Arrow Neighbors'
Medical Clinic has now provided more than 23 years of service to
the Broken Arrow and surrounding communities and is supported by volunteer
physicians and nurses. The number of uninsured residents
in Oklahoma continues to skyrocket and an unplanned medical catastrophe
can jeopardize a family’s delicate balance creating
a crisis situation. Our volunteer physicians
were able to provide care in our free clinic to 456 patients in 2007.
Outreach Services
The Broken Arrow
